Happy Independence Day!

We had a great 4th this year! We got up early and went to the parade. Bridger got a little bored towards the middle so he went and played on Longfellow's play ground. We had a little Mcdonalds bbq at my moms house. Then went home and took a long nap.

Bridger wanted to help me cut daddy's hair, he was a great help. He mixed up my guards so instead of cutting Adam's hair a 6 on top it got cut a 3. I guess that is why it is good that hair grows. OOPS!

That is all for now. I am all caught up until Saturday! Guess what? We only have two weeks until we find out what the gender is so it will not be called baby anymore. It is either going to be a little shopping here and there or out of control girl shopping. We will see.

Horse Races

On the 4th of July weekend were trying to find some fun things to do. So we decided to go Sandy Downs to see the horse races and watch the concert they had that night. It was fun but it killed my allergies. Jim was betting small change on the horses and came out even or a little ahead. Bridger would get really nervous when the horses would go.

My week at girls Camp

Special Agents

















What can I say, what a week. I had a hard time leaving but once I got up there it was so worth it. I have never left Bridger for more then one day, so it was hard. It was so great to have the opportunity to go and spend these days with these wonderful Young Woman. My testimony of the Young woman program grows every time I go to camp. The spirit that is there with those Young Woman is unbelievable









.



This is us. We all got along really well after the girls got over the tent assignments. Our theme was special agents. Helping others find there individual worth. It was such a great theme and the girls really seemed to enjoy it.

















The amazing flowers and greenery up there. God created some amazing things. But he also created pestly bugs. Like mosquitoes and these huge ants.

















We had a service tree that when someone did something good or if they saw someone doing good then then would put these on the tree.


















They had a Lake there that the girls enjoyed getting each other very wet














The last night before testimony meeting I wanted to do something very memorable so we did the Hero Walk. It went well except for the rain storm we got. We wanted them to understand how much there Heavenly Father loves them, and wants what is best for them. I know that they felt the spirit and the love of there Savior.













Testimony night was great also. I love hearing the girls thoughts and testimony of Camp, there friends and the Savior. It is amazing to me that with every ward when I get to know these Young Woman I bond with them instantly. I can feel the love of the Savior for each of them in such different ways. I have such a strong testimony of this program and the importance that it plays. I know that it is here on this earth to help these Woman overcome Satan and his temptations.


















That was my week at camp......................................But on the last day the Bishop asked me to be the 1st councilor in the Young Womans. So it is official I am back in the Young Woman program for good!

A couple weeks ago Tracie and Martin wanted to take Bridger to look at the Semi's that Martin drives on weekends. He found a red one and called him Mike(Mack) from Cars. He thought that it had lightening McQueen in it, so they had to open it.

Playing Catch-up

We have had a busy couple weeks so I am going to try to play catch-up. We were able to go to Rigby Stamped Days it was so much fun. A little cold but Bridger liked all the horses and cows.

Adam's friend Miah has been in town so we had a little get together. This is Gavin sporting the glasses that Bridger gave him. They are pretty good playmates.

I think this one was around 7.00. It is so good to be back couponing full time. It is so nice to see how much you can get.













This week we hit the 15 weeks mark. Man does time fly. I am starting to feel better thanks to my doctor for telling me about some pills that I can take. My belly is growing each week and so is the baby. I can feel it move all the time. A little wiggle baby we have in there. But I am loving it.
We are loving the apartment but are still looking around at houses and lots so when the time comes we will know what to do. We are really liking Hawks Landing up on the hill, it would allow us to have a walk out basement. AMAZING views at night. I think I found the house I want to build but who knows. We will see in a couple months. Adam is loving his new job, which is so awesome. We are just loving life, and love staying busy. I have girls camp this week so life will be a little less stressful.

We made it

Well after a long day of moving it is done. We are all moved in. We still have a few boxes to unpack but for the most part it feels like home. It is hard going from a house with a huge kitchen and lots of rooms to a 2 bedroom apartment but I still love it! I know that it is only a transition. This will also help me decide on a lot of different things with the house also. This place has a swimming Pool, workout area, billards room, hot tub and 2 playgrounds so we are going to be well taken care of while we are here.

It is also official we get to find out what we are having on Friday July 23rd. That is so crazy, I forgot how fun it was to set up that appointment. I will be just over 20 weeks. Thanks to my friend Charish for one of her friends for giving us this great idea. We are going have the Ultrasound tech put the sex of the baby in an envelope then we are going to take it to Walmart and have then bake a white cake if it is a girl and chocolate cake if it is a boy. Then we are going to invite all of our family over so we can find out together. How cool is that! Well that is all for now!

Camping at Warm River

I had to take a small break from packing since the kiddos are asleep and we are moving in 3 days! This last weekend we went camping for memorial weekend we had a blast. The weather was a little crazy but it made for some good fishing. So here are a few pics.

Have I mentioned that girls camp is only 3 weeks away! It is getting to be crunch time. We also get to find out what we are having in 4-6 weeks. I can't wait.

Our Mother's Day, Father's Day and Early Christmas present. We spoiled ourselves and got a 46' Toshiba LCD tv to hang on the wall. This is the first Tv we have ever bought in the last 7 years!

Update on life

Well what can I say life has been pretty busy. Meagan went to her last commencement with her boyfriend Braxton (he is a senior) and Ashley graduated on Wednesday. Wow, where has the time gone? These girls were 11 and 12 when we got married. I can't even express how much I love these girls. They are both so awesome in such different ways. It scares me to watch them get older because that means that I am getting 10 times older. Oh well! I am just so proud of them and the woman that they are becoming.



















Adam is going to go into his third week working at the site. He loves it. It is really comforting to know that your husband loves his job. There is so much opportunity for him to grow and make use of his degree! I am so proud of him for never giving up.

We are moving into Eagles landing apartments so we can decide what we want to do. We have been looking at lots and different builders but I just can't make up my mind. We will hopefully have a better idea around September or October what we are doing. I am stocking up on swim diapers because they have a swimming pool! I am so excited. The baby is doing great, and right where it should be. I get to hear the heartbeat again next Friday so I am so excited.

How important missionary work is...

Adams Uncle is a mission president and they are just getting to the end of there three years. They are some of the most amazing and spiritual people that I have ever met. If you have ever second guessed the power of missionary work read this letter that she just wrote. I have a strong testimony of missionary work and the important role that it plays in the world today. This story is amazing

Dear Family and Friends,

The weeks are flying by!!! We are working fast and furious but we have tons still to do. Things are going good. We are entering the winter months in Paraguay and so it has cooled down and that is great. We have gotten some good rain and we are wearing winter coats and it feels nice.

We have had some amazing things happen during the last few weeks. We had a wonderful missionary get hit by a car. It happened about three weeks ago. They were walking down a small road out in the country. It was dark and raining. I don't know if the driver got distracted by something, phone, texting, etc but he ran right into our missionary. The Elder is a huge young man from Alpine, Utah. He is a 6'5" African American. He said he heard the car and turned and saw it coming right at him and kind of jumped up on the hood. I think that saved him from getting his legs broken. But it threw him into the windshield. His face took the impact. He split open his cheek, had a huge cut on his forehead, his chin and nose. It was TERRIBLE. The driver didn't even stop. The Elder flew up over the car and landed on his side. He didn't BREAK A BONE, DIDN'T LOOSE A TOOTH BUT had terrible cuts, scraps and lacerations on his face. He came into Asuncion in an ambulance and went into emergency surgery. He has over 300 stitches on his face. Most of those stitches are inside. It really was a miracle that his didn't break his cheek bones or loose any teeth or break any other bones in his legs or arms. The plastic surgeon said it was a MIRACLE that no bones were broken and that he didn't have a concussion or worse.

One of the first things that missionary said to us in the emergency room when we arrived was, President, I am not going to have to go home for this am I? I want to stay!........Can you even imagine that kind of an attitude? Here you have just been hit by a Paraguayan, you are in a third world country and you know the medical care is not going to be that great, you know you face is busted and feels broken. You lips are so swollen that you can hardly talk and yet you lay in a strange hospital with FAITH BURSTING FROM YOUR SCARED SOUL AND YOU SAY, I WANT TO STAY. He is an INCREDIBLE YOUNG MAN. He had a blessing and went into surgery and has had the FAITH OF NEPHI, AMMON, ALMA, MORONI AND HELAMAN. He has really been amazing through this. We are now three weeks out and he has healed up so much. The Doctors in the states said to wait for 5 months and then we will analyze and see if he needs to have another surgery to help scarring. We are hopeful that he will heal up fine and not need to have anything else done. The Dr's in the states have looked at his pictures and think that the plastic surgeon did incredible work. His name is Elder Wilkinson. We would love to have you include him in your prayers. That would be great. I know that the Lord has blessed him and will continue to bless him. It has been amazing to see the healing that has taken place in just three weeks. In the beginning I was not sure he was going to be able to stay. He has only been here six months. He has been blessed with the gift of tongues and can communicate in Spanish and in Guarani which is what a lot of Paraguayans speak. It is a very hard language to learn. In the hospital he was talking to the nurses in Guarani and it was IMPRESSIVE to say the least. I know that he has a special mission here. The Lord preserved him to do great and marvelous things here.

It has been amazing to see how mindful the Lord is of his missionaries and how he really does bless and protect them. This accident could have been soooo much worse. We have seen some crazy things in three years time but for the most part with as many missionaries as we have, they have been blessed and protected.

10 Weeks

Well we were officially ten weeks on Sunday so I thought it was a good time to post another picture.
It is so crazy how each pregnancy can be so different.

For my records here are some of the differences
Bridger
-Got sick in the morning and afternoon
-Did not show until at least 14 weeks
-Craved Avocados, eggs and veggies
-indigestion did not start until 2nd trimester
-Was a little tired in the first trimester

This Pregnancy
-Get sick at night
-Started seeing a difference at six weeks
-Crave fruit, limeade, Mexican food
-indigestion started right away
- Have to have a nap with the kids everyday


Well those are the main ones that I really notice and wanted to remember for when we have another one. Adam and I are so blessed to be able to raise another child and can't wait to see what we will be bringing into the world. I get asked all the time what I would like and beleive it or not I don't care. We already have both names picked out and there are benefits to both. So we are hoping for a happy healthy baby. We should be able to find out what we are having in about 10 weeks.
