6 Years and Updates

Well Adam and I will officially hit 6 years on Sunday.
I can't believe that when we got married my little
sisters were only 10 and 11. That is what really
makes me feel old. They are 16 and 17 now. Not a
day goes by that I am so thankful that I found
Adam and we were able to be sealed for eternity.
I could not imagine my life without him by my side.
I can truly say that I love him more than I did 6
years ago, and the trials that we have faced
just makes me love him even more.












It is so amazing how much your love can intensify when you go through trials in your life. When Adam fell and was going through his surgery, I realized then and there how much I really need him. He is what completes me and has made me a better person. My love for him has grown in such a different direction and I know that we have to go through these trials to experience that amazing feeling. The spirit testifies to me everyday that he is the man that I am supposed to be with and I am so grateful for that.
















I found these questions on a site and thought that it would be fun to answer them.

1. Do you remember what your spouse was wearing the last time you saw them? (Whether it was before one or the both of you dashed off to work, left for a business trip, or left to run errands.) What color shirt, sweater or blouse did they have on? Or, for the truly astute, which shoes were they wearing?

a- When I dropped him off at school he was wearing a red shirt, black shorts with red and white, white hospital socks and his slippers.(we forgot to change them)

a- I would say action or what ever you call super-hero ones.

3. What were your spouse's favorite TV shows to watch growing up?

a- Loved anything that had super-hero's like Spider man, Superman, Batman

4. What kind of deodorant scents does your spouse NOT like?

a- I don't know scents cut I do know he only likes Old Spice!

5. What is your spouse's favorite candy?

a- Reeses cups

6. Which type of chocolate do they prefer? (Milk, white, dark.)

a- milk

7. When was the last time you watched a sunset together?

a- When we got engaged six years ago!

8. When was the last time you paid your spouse and compliment? What was it?

a- With his accident I try to do it daily! I tell him I am so proud of him.

a- 10-08-2009( When the doctor came and told him that his life would be changed forever)

if you don't want to cry I would recommend never talking to a Neurosurgeon.

10. Do you remember the last laugh you had together and what caused it?

a- my son of course. He always is doing the most interesting things.

Most of all I am so proud of him for the man that he is and the father and husband he strives to be. Adam is truly my best friend. Happy 6 years and I hope the next 6 are as good as these were!

These are of Adam being prepped for surgery. They had all these wires on him so they could monitor his nerves. It really made you realize how serious this surgery was..

This was crazy! I could not beleive the tube was sticking straight out of his back. His incision does not look that big in this picture but it actually goes from the top of his bum to the middle of his back. We were very surprised how long it was.















I thought that I would stick a picture of this little pill on here also. I am not going to lie it has been a bit overwhelming but things are starting to slow down. I look forward to nap time everyday. We are being well taken care of. They have a RN that is assigned to our case that will to all of our appointments. So that is going to be so nice. We get to get the staples out tomorrow. Then our next step is to get him back to school.

I am so grateful for the gospel at this time and for the power of prayer. I could not do this alone. Our family and friends have been so AMAZING and so generous. Thanks for all the kinds words, it truly does help. As things progress I will keep you updated.

Sleepy Baby!!!

Bridger has been a little of schedule since I was at the hospital for 5 days. The day Adam came home he was falling asleep in his high chair.

I am working on some pictures from the hospital and the accident to check back soon. Adam is doing so good. I am so proud of him for his strength. He has been such an inspiration to me. Man am I one lucky woman. We are going to married 6 years on the first it is a bummer that we will probably be spending it at home. If any of you have some ideas for me to do for a romantic night at home, please help. Thanks for everyone's comments we really appreciate it!

Looking up

Well we are going on day 3 tomorrow in the hospital. Adam is doing very well, and is looking 100 times better. Today was his first day out of bed. He walked to his chair sat for 45 minutes and then walked back. This is such a huge thing, so we are pretty excited. The therapist was so positive and put such a great feeling into the room. He said that Adam is doing AMAZING. We have been so blessed with some of the best nurses and doctors. Adam is going to walk the halls tomorrow, and then we are hoping stairs on Sunday. I am so proud of him. He has been such a trooper through this whole experience. I am looking forward to the days to come when Adam is completely healed.

We are so grateful for all the kind words and the prayers that are being offered in our behalf. We could not do it with out the lords help. I am so grateful for all the Lord has done for our family and even though this is a trail that we are meant to face at this time I know that it will make us stronger. We love each one of you more then words could ever express. Thanks so much.

The Trials we must face

I am at my moms taking a small break from the hospital so I thought that I would let everyone know what is going on. Adam was at work hanging a banner for there open house and his assistant manager was holding the ladder. The ladder folded and Adam went down with the ladder falling about 12-14 feet. He landed on the pavement on his feet then rolled to his but. As he was laying on the ground he felt pain like he had never felt before in his life. He could not even move. About 4-5 minutes later they called the ambulance and then they called me. Adam had to wait for three hours before they would give him any pain meds. So it was an interesting couple hours. They came back with the first x-ray and they said that it looked very minor and that he would probably not even have to wear a brace. They wanted to be sure so they had a cat scan done just to be sure. They come back and say that it looks a little worse then they thought and said they wanted us to talk to the neuro surgeon. At that point they come in and tell us that he would need surgery that his disc was pushing into his spinal cavity and that he would need this immediately. He got surgery this afternoon and everything went well. He was coming out of it slowly when I left. That is where we are at this point.

The doctor told us some pretty hard news this morning. Not something a 28 year old father wants to hear. Adam will not be able to snowboard, wake board or any other sport that will jar his spine. Because they had to fuze his L2, L3 and L4 discs he has no where to give. We are looking on the positive side of this and thanking our father in Heaven for protecting Adam. I know that we all go through trying times in our lives, and he would not give us something that we could not overcome. MY HUSBAND CAN WALK, HE IS ALIVE. We have so much to be thankful for and will learn and grow form this experience.

Thanks to everyone for all your support. We love each one of you and could not do this alone.

McDonalds and new car

We went to McDonald's today and to our surprise Ronald McDonald was there. Bridger was a little freaked out at first, then we warmed up enough to give him five an knuckles. This picture was taken with the blackberry! It is not the best quality.

I forgot to add a picture of Bridger and his new stroller car that GG bought him. Man you would think it was Christmas.

Sorry these pictures are going to be in random order! My great grandpa was in town so we got together for a family pizza party. He is going to be ninety in May. He looks pretty good. This would be our five generation picture.

This would be grammy. She has been so wonderful to open her home up to us and let us be basement dwellers. Bridger loves sitting on her bed at night with her. We are not doing to bad at all either. I can't wait to have my own home again, but this will work until Adam is done with school. He should finish sometime in April or May, so only 8 more months.



















This is Bridger's true love. Motorcycles. He is my true boy! He will not go to bed with out them, eat with out them, they have to be in his hands at all times.

We have been helping my grandma with some projects around the house. This would be Adam getting rid of the bees(hornets) in her awning. She had 4 of these that each had a swarm of bees. Thank heavens for husbands.

Well this is a little of what we have been up to. Just enjoying all the time we get to spend with family. Adam got a job for a new retirement center as there marketing director. We have been so blessed. This job is a lot better then we thought that he was going to get while going to school. He is going to be very busy though, it is a 40 hour a week job. He started Monday and is loving it so far. Bridger and I are just enjoying life trying to keep him from breaking stuff. HAHA!

We are still alive!!

Well we made it to Idaho Falls ok! We are staying with my grandma right now and it is not to bad. We will be there one whole week on Monday. It is still nothing like having your own home though. We HOPEFULLY close on our house this Wednesday, so that will be so nice. Adam and I have started looking for houses even though we are not planning on buying or building until next year sometime! We are not sure which one we are going to do yet! I have a check list of things that I want my next house to have so if we can find one that has everything then we may just buy one that is already built! So if anyone knows any good deals on some lots let me know!

Adam is loving school and is doing very well. It is so funny how things work out better then you could ever expect! We are so excited for him to get a job that we will always know how much is coming in. He will be done with school in April sometime and then we will see what happens from there!

Bridger is growing like CRAZY and is a TALKING machine! He can say just about everything you ask him to say and his starting to jibber alot! He is getting so big and so tall. We just love this little boy so much!

My job is going wonderful! It has been so fun working with Steph and all the kids! I LOVE IT! I picked up another gymnastics class at Idaho Elite so this Tuesday will be my first day! It is fun to get out of the house a little, get paid well and still only have to be away from my son for only 5 hours a week. What is better then that?

We are all doing well and trying to adjust to this change in our life. I know this is the direction that the lord wanted us to go. It is so nice that Bridger can see his grandparents all the time! Well this is all for know! I hope to find my camara cord so I can download some pics!

Crazy Last Week!!

Even though this is our last couple days in our house we decided that we could make time to go to the fair! We had a blast! It is amazing how things change after you have kids! Even though Bridger was not old enough to ride the big rides we managed to find this little car section where he could play! Here are a couple of our pictures!























Last night some of our friends through a surprise going away party for us a Sizzler! These girls are what make it so hard to leave! Kristi and I were visiting teaching partners and we clicked instantly. Emily was my roommate back in the day while I was going to ISU. Jeanette was a sister that Kristi and I went visiting teaching together. Oh I love these girls so much, they always seem to put a smile on my face. There are so many more people that I have recently met that just moved into the ward that I will miss dearly! You know who you ladies are! I know that the Lord had intended us to move here to help my testimony grow. We have such amazing people in this ward and I have learned so much from each of them. Heidi was an amazing Sunday school teacher. Thanks to all you that made this experience one that we will never forget!

Last but not least. We have a total of 1 full day in our house! This has been such a bitter sweet experience. I am so happy to move on and see what the Lord has in store for us and at the same time I am so sad to not see all those familiar faces. I am glad that Pocatello is only 45 minutes away! I know that the Lord has had a hand in all this! We sold our house sooo fast and the fact that they wanted to move in ASAP! We sold our truck in 2 days and our couches in a week. My dad called a couple days ago and said that we should be able to get Adam a job when he is done with school! All this has been such a great blessing. Well next time I update we will no longer be home owners and will be moved in with my grandma.
