Happy Easter

We had such an amazing Easter surrounded by family. Our day started out a little hard though. We were packing up our stuff early Saturday and Bridger wanted to go outside really bad, so we finally gave in. Within 10 seconds we hear a blood curdling scream. Bridger had fallen and hit his mouth and he had blood all over in his mouth. I have a hard time with blood especially his. We finally got everything cleaned up and headed to Idaho Falls. My dad had an Easter egg hunt at his house but Bridger was not feeling so well so he had his own later that day!

My dad got out the 4 wheeler and took the kids for a ride. Bridger thought it was so much fun!!































Easter Sunday. Bridger got a Lawn mower that blows bubbles, sand bucket for Bear Lake, a football and a basketball. This was also Bridger Sunday morning in his cute Sunday outfit.

We had the opportunity to go listen to Adam's dad and step mom speak Sunday. It was fun to be surrounded by family on Easter Sunday!

I love Easter and the importance of it. It is really fun watching the kids with the Easter egg hunts and the candy, but my kids will know the importance of Easter. I love the Gospel so much and the Lord Jesus Christ for everything that he has done for us. He has set the perfect example. If it were not for him, where would the next life lead to? I am grateful that I know our family is sealed for eternity, and we will see each other again. And it is only because our Father in Heaven sent his only begotten son to pay for the sins of the world. I can't wait for the day when I get to stand in front of the Lord, and thank him for being that perfect example. I look forward to what our future holds, and the blessings that the Lord has in store for us. This is one of my all time favorite songs. I hope everyone had a great EASTER!!

Dodge National RODEO!!

Last night we went to the Dodge National Rodeo. It was so AMAZING! It was so much fun watching all the different rounds they did. Adam's dad has a lot of knowledge about the rodeo that I think that made it even funner. Mutton Bustin' was one of my favorites. Those little kids were so brave and held on for a long time. Fun Day at the Park

Well all I can say is that we are loving this weather. Bridger and I strolled over to my friend Emily's house and picked up her little girl Addie. Bridger and Addie play really well together. Here are a few of the pictures that I had a chance to edit.

Are we prepared

My step mother Shelley sent me this email to me last week
and I just wanted everyone to just be aware. I am going to post some links on how to make your own laundry detergent(Thanks Bonnie and Shelley) and how to can butter(just learned how in enrichment) on my savings blog
here. I hope that it makes you aware just as it has me.

I am forwarding information I thought you might want to read and be aware of. I'm not sending this on to alarm anyone, only to make you aware. I did check it out on Google, and it refers to Puls and a fireside talk given last June 08. The church seems to be urging us to have at least a 3 months supply. I know most of you are already prepared, but check to make sure you have all you would need to sustain yourselves for three months. I followed one of the links referred to and it gives extensive info. ********************************** "About a month ago a seminar was put on by Susan Puls, who is a cardiologist appointed by the First Presidency of the Church as the head of the church's pandemic committee. She said she was not an expert on pandemics as this was not her speciality, but in the two years she's been in her position, is fast becoming one. She now works for the church on a full-time basis working on planning for the pandemic and trying to get the word out to as many church members as possible. There were about 1400 people at the Saturday all-day seminar. In her capacity, she works with the governor's pandemic committee and the federal pandemic planning agency. She also said a pandemic is coming - not 'maybe' but is DEFINITELY coming. She says -the pandemic is expected within the next two years but she personally believes it will be 'sooner rather than later..' The various groups (CDC, WHO, etc..) do not know what the pandemic will be but 'first among their list of suspects is the avian bird flu. It's only one mutation away from being easily transmitted from birds to humans and from human to human.'_ She said the World Health Organization expects 40% of the world population to become sick. Of those who become sick, they expect 50% will die. If you do the math - there are over 6 billion people on the earth today - that puts the death rate at over 1.4 billion people - and she says these deaths will happen over only a 3 to 4 month period of time. Puls related that when the pandemic hits the US , mandatory quarantine's of all infected and NON-INFECTED peoples will occur within the first 48 hours. Only emergency personnel (Dr's, nurses, firemen, police, national guardsmen, etc..) will be allowed to leave their homes not even to go to the store, etc.. This quarantine will last during the duration of the 'pandemic cycle' which will last approximately three months. Her main point was that everyone will need a *MINIMUM of 3 months supply of food at home* as the governments of the world will be overwhelmed within the first week and cannot be counted on to provide food, medical help, etc.. she only briefly spoke on the 'social disruption' that will occur and did not go into any detail about what plans may, or may not exist, to deal with this. However - think about this - if your neighbors (both those you know and strangers) run out of food and are starving how might they react? Then think of all the individuals who already live outside of the law and are only 'controlled' by our current legal system. How might they react when law enforcement becomes ineffectual due to illness among the ranks and those who abandon their jobs to stay home and protect their own families. Ditto for the national guard and our own military. This isn't to scare anyone - just to provide a 'heads up' as 'to be forewarned is to be forearmed.' That's the end of the e mail. I try and check the authenticity of e-mails such as this so I Googled Puls and was eventually linked to the Church's Provident Living Website and was surprised to find that they have a section on Pandemic Planning under Home and Family Preparedness. http://www.providentliving.org/content/display/0,11666,6631-1-3415-1,00.html The government also had a website: http://www.pandemicflugov/plan/tab3.html <http://www.pandemicflugov/plan/tab3.html I found it very interesting that in the Church's new pamphlets on food storage, they recommend building your supply up to a three months supply. As you can see in the article, Puls states that everyone will need a minimum of three months supply of food at home.

Vacation continued

I am finally done with the pictures so here they are. I will give you a break down of what we did while we were out of the state.
So at the first of March I got this crazy idea that I wanted to go some where warm, so I asked Adam and he said sure where do you want to go. I said lets go to St George. Then St George turned into Las Vegas and Mesquite. I was completely surprised, last time we drove to Vegas Adam said never again. We had planned to go with the Sutton's but there plans changed, it is ok April we still love you guys.














Bridger was an amazing traveler. He slept from Pocatello to Bountiful where we stopped at Jamie's house. It is always so fun to catch up with her, Mike and little Will. Will is so funny, he loved to beat up on Bridger. I think they will be buds when Bridger learns to fight back!













This is what the car ride looked like as we were driving to Vegas. I do not drive well at night so Adam had to drive almost the whole way. We arrived at Boulder Hotel and Casino at about 1:15 am. When we got into the hotel Bridger thought that it was time to PARTY!













This was out hotel....It was so nice. Bridger found where the Kleenex box was and enjoyed pulling them all out! We were also on the 15th floor so we had an amazing view of the strip.













Then we headed to the outlet malls. Oh man they were AMAZING. I found me a skirt for 10.00 and I got Bridger some clothes at the Children s Place.













This was the big aquarium at Caesar's Palace. WE got to watch the them feed all the fish. We also stopped at the Cheesecake factory for some Yummy cheesecake!













We just enjoyed hanging out in the amazing weather.













We went and saw Bridger's GREAT GREAT grandpa in Overton NV. That is where we took the railroad pics. He will be 89 this month, he looks amazing.













Friday night we went to Casablanca for there all you can eat buffet. Oh is was so good. I had plenty of crab and shrimp. Adam was going to be brave and try this crawdad but he could not figure out how to eat it.

Saturday we headed to St George and stop at Jacob's house. It was so neat to see the things that they did to survive and to learn about there unwavering faith. They were great people.














We had such a great time. I did ok taking pictures but we also had the chance to go bowling, miniture golfing, and swimming. We has such a great time that we are planning to make it a new tradition. Excluding next year, we are going in June to see Adam's Aunt and Uncle who have been serving as mission presidents in Paraguay. I am already counting down the days, we miss them sooooooo much.

Sneak Peek of Vacation

We are glad to be at our house, just not back in Idaho were it is cold! We had an AMAZING trip. I have a few of my favorite pictures to post. I will post all of them later after I scrapblog them. We will just say I took way to many pictures. So here are a few Tracie, but there will me a lot more with a break down of everything that we did.

Bridger's 1st Birthday and weekend fun

We got through Bridger's first Birthday great! I still can't beleive that he is one. Where does time go? We started the party out by eating some great food. Bridger loved all the attention and all the new food!
























Then we decided to pull out the cake. Adam picked out this cake and I think it turned out pretty good.

Then after the cake we opened some gifts. Thanks everyone for all the nice stuff. Overall we had a awesome day. Thanks to all those who came and wanted to come. We love and appreciate you all.












We had so many leftovers that we decided to have the Taylor's come and help us eat them. It was fun to get out the Wii and play some games. This is there little girl Addie, she is such a little doll, and i did not get a picture of there little man Jackson but he is so handsome.

Last but not least Bridger had his 12 month appointment today. I can't beleive a year ago he was 7 lbs 9 oz and now he weighs 21 Lbs 10 oz. It is so crazy how much they grow in one year. He was also 31 inches long. I just want to say what an amazing year this has been. Watching him grow and become this little boy has been such a miracle and a blessing. I could not imagine my life without this sweet little spirit.
On another good note Brandon finally signed the papers and he is DONE with the divorce. All I can say is FINALLY. It was good to see him and see that smile again, that we knew he still had. He has also lost so much weight, both physically and emotionally. His ex-wife weighed him down so much physically, mentally, financially and spiritually. So he has had so much weight lifted off his shoulders. He Looks so HAPPY! We love you Brandon and can't wait to see what your future holds for you!
